ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Brynn!

I am passionate about connecting people and organizations in ways that strengthen communities and amplify the strengths and talents of everyone involved. Prior to joining James River Writers as Director of Programs and Communications, I spearheaded nationally recognized and award-winning marketing campaigns and events in my communications and outreach role at VPM PBS/NPR. The cornerstone of my work is partnership with nonprofits and arts & culture organizations, allowing for deeper and expanded connection to audiences and added value for all partners involved. Projects I’m especially proud of include: The Great American Read; Ken Burns’ The Vietnam War; Great Performances’ Hamilton’s America; PBS KIDS Summer Challenge; and the nation’s largest screening events for series premieres of Downton Abbey two years in a row.

In addition to the right-brained creativity that I bring to my marketing and engagement work, I also incorporate the left-brained elements of planning and organization I developed in my early career as an accountant before stepping away from the corporate world to start my family. The unique mix of these strengths ensures the success of any project I take on.
